No blood, no jetlag in Sighisoara

Howdy

First off, we will try to work on photos today, but hopefully the words will be enough for now.

Woke this morning at 7 a.m. to melodic sounds of men unloading kegs. They are preparing for the Medevil Festival (starts tomorrow).

The train ride here is not in my memory bank. I slept and sweated on the seat from Bucharest. Jim said there were naked people (all ages) sunning themselves near the track like the train was some kind of beach. Crossing the border from Bulgaria was o.k. My passport, as usual (having been to places that, I guess, are suspect) warranted an extra check.

I am staying in the Citadel, while Jim and Martha are staying across the river. This place reminds me of a fairytale. Had a great meal yesterday in the home where Vlad the Impaler was born, the beef (or stake) should have been bloodier though.
Went to the swimming pool and met a Persian and 2 Romanians. Arranged a trip to somebody's farm for this morning and made an appointment with the two Romanians I met at the pool for an herb gathering trip outside of town (you mix the herbs with milk and boil it). Will update later. Found a billiard hall and then went to bed.

Until later..
